Teens 2 Teens

Ravens 2 Teens: I started the first chapter of Teens 2 Teens at Ravenscroft school in Raleigh, NC. Our first project was to supply clothes and shoes to "Krissi's Kloset" on the campus of Robbinsville High in Graham County, NC.                    Our current project  is a joint effort with Communities In Schools of North Carolina of Swain County, NC. We will supply clothes and shoes to "Krissi's Kloset" in Bryson City, NC.  CIS will provide and run the  facility which will service students in the entire North Carolina Appalachian region (8 counties).  Our grand opening date was November 22, 2010.  It was a tremendous success! To arrange an appointment call the director of CIS in the Great Smokey Mountains, Melissa Barker, at (828)-488-7505.                                 Savannah Story (junior), Mary Grady Bell (sophomore), and Caroline Gainey (freshman) are now running the Ravens 2 Teens chapter.

Braves 2 Teens: Anya Knower started Braves 2 Teens at UNC Pembroke where she plays basketball for the Braves. She was inspired by the success of the Robbinsville project and wanted to provide the same service for the communities around her school. Anya has collected and distributed goods to hundreds of needy students in the Pembroke area though the CIS of Robeson County facility. Visit www.braves2teens.com for more info.

Knights 2 Teens: Jamie Vande Gutch and  Mikaela Sullivan who are juniors at North Raleigh Christian Academy are collecting clothes and shoes from students at  their school to be distributed through "Krissi's Kloset" in Bryson City, NC.

Warriors 2 Teens: Madison Call, who is a sophomore, started the first Teens 2 Teens chapter at St. David's School in Raleigh. She will be collecting clothes and other items for the Krissi's Klosets.

What You Can Do

Start a chapter of Teens 2 Teens at your school. Small towns all over America have been hit especially hard by the poor economy. Unemployment is high which means many teens are going without basics such as jeans, sweaters,  coats, and shoes. Contact me to learn how to start a partnership with a school in need.
